TL;DW: Hi, it's Brian from Intuitive Swimming Method. Let's talk about breathing in front crawl again. The standard rule is to breathe every two or three strokes, but what if you're struggling with that? If you're gasping or unable to get a breath in, it's likely because your lungs are still full and you haven't exhaled enough. Let your out breath guide your swimming and determine the number of strokes needed to complete your exhale. By doing so, you'll breathe easily and naturally without struggling.
